Support Officer – Logistics & IT Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a Support Officer with Logistics Experience to join our IT operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the deployment, maintenance, and logistical coordination of IT equipment and related services. The role demands a proactive and well-organized professional with solid technical skills, logistical insight, and the ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.


Key Responsibilities


IT Equipment Handling & Deployment

  • Prepare and package desktops, hybrid devices, tablets, and other IT equipment for delivery.
  • Install and set up IT devices (desktops, hybrids, tablets) in accordance with user and system requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming IT materials to ensure compliance with purchase orders and quality standards.


Inventory and Logistics Management

  • Maintain precise administrative records and inventory databases.
  • Manage physical inventories and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and monitor delivery plans for IT assets.
  • Assist with logistical tracking and the receipt of hardware and software orders.


Operational & User Support

  • Provide basic support to users, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and handle straightforward user requests within the RFC (Request for Change) domain.
  • Participate in the development of workload and resource planning for logistics operations.
  • Execute decommissioning activities for obsolete or surplus equipment.


Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Work as part of a cohesive team of Logistic Support Assistants (LSAs).
  • Deliver diversified IT and logistical support to internal users.
  • Maintain clear communication within the team and with end-users to ensure smooth service delivery.


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Degree or diploma in IT, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar support/logistics role is essential.


Technical Skills:

  • Good understanding of IT consumer products (e.g., desktops, tablets).
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and inventory tracking systems.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both French and English (oral and written).


Soft Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of autonomy and reliability.
