Role Overview

Senior Telecommunications Engineer responsible for providing advanced technical expertise and Level 3 support for critical telecom and IT systems used in complex operational environments. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and evolution of telecommunications infrastructure, while supporting secure operational capabilities related to telecommunications monitoring and specialized network technologies.

Working within a highly specialized technical unit, the position contributes to the development, deployment, and maintenance of advanced telecom solutions used in sensitive investigative and operational contexts.


Key Responsibilities

Level 3 Technical Support & Incident Resolution

  • Provide Level 3 support for telecom and network systems including VoIP, SIP, routing, and mobile network technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex incidents across telecom and IT environments.
  • Handle escalated technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address operational issues.
  • Use ticketing systems to manage incidents, requests, and resolutions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of telecom support processes and service quality.


Telecommunications Engineering & Deployment

  • Support the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of advanced telecommunications solutions.
  • Collaborate with network operators and internal engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Participate in validation, testing, and acceptance of new telecom services and features.
  • Provide technical support for telecom-related applications and operational tools.


Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, test plans, and user guides.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical learning within the team.


Collaboration & Professional Conduct

  • Work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion while working in sensitive and high-security environments.
  • Assess risks, manage priorities, and ensure delivery of assigned technical tasks.


Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Mobile Network Architecture: 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G
  • Core Network Technologies: EPC, 5GC, IMS, VoLTE
  • Telecommunication Protocols: VoIP, SIP, signaling protocols
  • Network Technologies: Routing, telecom networking, security
  • Telecom Concepts: Roaming, interconnect, lawful interception
  • Operational Tools: Ticketing systems and structured support workflows

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
  • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications or mobile network environments.
  • Experience with mobile network operators, MVNOs, or telecom vendors is highly desirable.
  • Industry certifications such as 3GPP, LTE, or 5G certifications are a strong advantage.
