Data Analyst – Energy Industry

Location: Gosselies, Belgium (Hybrid – 2 days onsite minimum)

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to strengthen the Clients & Markets Analytics team within the Energy sector. You will play a key role in exploiting, processing, and valorizing data to support business decision-making, optimize processes, and contribute to performance steering through data.

Main Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Exploration:
• Analyze large datasets, identify trends and correlations.
• Deliver advanced insights to stakeholders.
• Client & Market Data Valorization:
• Study process efficiency and operational performance.
• Build dashboards and interactive visualizations (Power BI).
• Provide foresight on future business needs.

Data Modeling & Quality:

• Ensure best practices in data self-service and modeling.
• Detect and report anomalies, document models and metrics.
• Business Support & Training:
• Train users on data tools and reports.
• Act as the bridge between business teams and IT.
• Promote data culture and autonomy in using insights.

Profile Requirements

• Education: University degree or equivalent in IT, Data, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 5 years as a Data Analyst.
• Sector Knowledge: Proven experience in energy market processes.
• Metering data management experience is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, autonomy, problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and pragmatic approach.

Technical Skills

• Programming & Data Tools: Python, SQL, R.
• Data Modeling: Strong experience required.
• Power BI: Advanced expertise in dashboarding & visualizations.
• Power Query: Proven hands-on experience.
