The retail industry is rapidly changing, as is the IT landscape of a leading retail organization. Topics such as mobile solutions, digital platforms, e-commerce & quick commerce, real-time data integration, AI, digital marketing, smart scan, hybrid sales devices, mobile payments, loyalty programs, identity management, and more are currently key areas of focus.
To manage this constant change and address these challenges, we are looking to hire a creative Digital Business Analyst who embraces a strong digital strategy and delivers projects using Agile Scrum methodologies while creating tangible business value.
The ideal candidate is familiar with both front-end applications (mobile solutions, e-commerce websites, quick commerce, CIAM, marketing websites, customer service solutions, store locator solutions, loyalty programs, etc.) and back-end applications (promotion engines, cron jobs, related databases, API gateways, search engines, etc.), and is experienced in integrating both through ESB or APIs.
The responsibilities of a Digital Business Analyst include the following and may vary slightly depending on seniority and the additional value brought to the role:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Gather functional and non-functional business requirements related to digital applications
- Identify and propose business improvements
- Perform functional analysis across different application components
- Conduct gap analysis
- Translate analysis into written specifications or user stories for refinement and grooming sessions
- Assist in writing and executing test cases
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of requests and analyses
- Provide business support for key decisions
Project Tasks
- Interact with project leaders, product owners, IT architects, and senior technical designers
- Ensure timely delivery of prerequisites (designs, acceptance criteria, etc.) required for successful sprint delivery
- Challenge time and budget estimations provided by implementation partners
- Prepare meeting minutes, action items, user requirements, and deliverables
- Ensure effective collaboration with external development partners for digital applications
Application Support
- Ensure and improve application stability by leading and following up on improvement actions, including regular interaction with technical teams (infrastructure, architecture, security, etc.)
- Act as the main point of contact for ongoing support requests and coordinate with relevant teams
- Collaborate closely with support teams
- Provide functional analysis to support 2nd and 3rd level application support
- Assist in resolving technical and functional issues based on defined prioritization and severity
- Monitor production data integration processes to ensure required availability
- Maintain and update the knowledge base
Some flexibility in working hours during implementations is required.
