Product Owner Non-Life – Claims & Contact Center
For the Claims & Contact Center team, within the Commercial Lines & Claims domain of our Change & Run Non-Life department, we are looking for a Product Owner (PO).

Context
The "Commercial Lines & Claims" domain is responsible for maximizing business value and ensuring the delivery of all current Claims systems, which will eventually be migrated to Guidewire components.
The mission of our Claims & Contact Center team within this domain is to modernize and optimize claims management and contact management, leveraging Guidewire Claims Center and Contact Manager, while ensuring smooth claims processes.
As a Product Owner, you play a central role between the business, IT, and stakeholders. You represent the interests of customers and sponsors and are end-to-end responsible for product deliverables. You set priorities for the delivery team, coordinate its operations, and keep the backlog constantly updated to ensure a good balance between change and run activities.
You operate in a large and complex application landscape, ensuring effective E2E delivery and smooth integration into the overall architecture.
Your Role
✔ Define strategy and vision
- Align the product vision related to your assets with the objectives of the Change & Run Non-Life department, in collaboration with the Chief Product Owner and other POs.
- Translate this vision into a concrete roadmap and contribute to the project calendar and business reviews.
- Closely monitor market evolution and competitors in your domain.
✔ Manage the product backlog
- Continuously manage and prioritize a complex backlog involving multiple stakeholders and components.
- Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
- Make final decisions regarding functional requirements and features.
✔ Coordinate delivery teams
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and monitor the team’s progress and KPIs.
- Act as the team’s point of contact, being available and responsive.
- Ensure clear communication on priorities and dependencies within the team.
- Guarantee the quality of deliverables through well-defined acceptance criteria and precise test scenarios.
✔ Build strong stakeholder relationships
- Maintain close contact with key stakeholders to ensure their engagement.
- Clearly communicate the business value of deliverables.
- Proactively align with your business department and other relevant agile teams.
✔ Ensure quality delivery and priority management
- Assess priorities in terms of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Map dependencies between initiatives and quickly resolve any conflicts.
- Ensure product backlog transparency for stakeholders and define clear objectives for the team.
✔ Manage end-to-end initiatives of small to medium size
- Ensure business requirements are defined in a timely manner.
- Determine, together with other POs, which delivery teams to involve in each initiative step.
Your Profile
- You communicate fluently and assertively.

- Knowledge of Guidewire
- You have an affinity with non-life insurance products and a good understanding of business needs in this area.

- You have experience in functional coordination of teams in a delivery context.
- You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a good command of the second national language. A good command of English (spoken and written) is essential.
