Job Description: Papyrus Analyst

Overview

An experienced Papyrus Analyst is required to support the design, analysis, and optimisation of Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ISIS Papyrus and a strong background in translating business requirements into effective document automation workflows. This role offers a blend of technical analysis, configuration, and stakeholder collaboration within a dynamic enterprise environment.

Location & Working Pattern

  • Hybrid role – 2 days per week on-site in Brussels, with the remaining time remote.
  • Dutch language skills are advantageous; English fluency required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into Papyrus configuration and workflow specifications.
  • Design and develop document templates and correspondence layouts using Papyrus Designer and Papyrus Correspondence.
  • Manage and execute production runs with DocEXEC, including AFP resource management and output validation.
  • Conduct data analysis and transformation (XML, JSON, CSV, flat files) to support dynamic document content.
  • Define and implement business rules, XPath logic, tables, and conditional formatting in Papyrus solutions.
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver scalable communication solutions.
  • Participate in testing, debugging, and optimisation of document workflows across environments.
  • Support delivery within both Agile and Waterfall project frameworks.

  • Testing & Version Control: HP ALM, Fogbugz, StreamDiff, VSS, SVN
  • Other Tools: XML Spy, Streamweaver, VIP/VDE, UltraEdit
  • Methodologies: Agile (Scrum), Waterfall

Experience Summary

  • 5+ years of Papyrus analysis and development experience.
  • 25+ years in document composition and CCM technologies.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with experience in stakeholder-facing environments.
  • Proven delivery record of enterprise-scale document automation and digital communication projects.
