Role Overview
This is an E&I Automation Engineer position (Electrical & Instrumentation), stepping into a managerial role for a specific project to restart an aluminium casting plant.
It’s not just about doing the hands-on work,the role is about coordinating, assessing, and ensuring the quality of electrical and automation-related activities carried out by contractors.
Main Responsibilities
1. Tender Assessment

The company will receive tenders (bids) from contractors for electrical works.
- The E&I Manager will:

Evaluate these proposals for technical correctness, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company standards.

Help decide which contractors to award the work to.
2. Electrical Works Oversight
- Once the contractors are selected, the E&I Manager will:

Monitor the installation of electrical systems (cabling, switchgear, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation).

Ensure the work is done on time, within scope, and according to safety & technical standards.

Act as the bridge between management and contractors.
3. Automation & S7 Software Follow-up ( they dont need someone who will code but someone who understands how the system works and can communicate any issues)

The casting plant’s automation runs on Siemens S7 PLC systems.

A separate external company will handle the programming / automation side.
- The E&I Manager will:
- Oversee this company’s progress.

Review software changes, logic, and integration to ensure it meets operational needs.

Coordinate between automation contractors and electrical contractors to avoid mismatches.
4. Standards & Compliance
- Guarantee that all work aligns with:

Internal technical standards.
- Industry regulations for electrical safety and automation systems.
Workload & Timeline

September–October: Part-time,focus mainly on tender assessment and initial planning.

November–April: Full-time focus on execution, site follow-up, and final commissioning.
Key Skills Needed

Electrical works knowledge — practical experience in industrial electrical systems.

Instrumentation & control systems — understanding sensors, actuators, and process control.

Siemens S7 PLC experience — enough to oversee automation software development and testing.

Project coordination — managing timelines, contractors, and reporting.

Industrial safety awareness — compliance with electrical and process safety regulations.
