DPA Developer Analyst – Electrical Steels Programme Phase 2

Context of the Assignment

The company is expanding its product offering for the electric mobility steel market and is therefore creating new production lines at the site. Within this project, you will contribute to the deployment of process IT systems on these new production lines, supporting both the commissioning of the new installations and the organisation’s digital transformation.

The systems to be implemented have the following main objectives:

• Generate process instructions (sent to PLCs) based on specifications received from IT (MES).
• Ensure metal traceability during production.
• Aggregate and centralise all data collected by PLCs and sensors across the production tools.
• Transmit all production, productivity, and quality data to IT systems (MES, quality tools, Big Data clusters, etc.).
• Control certain equipment in pseudo–real-time via process models and regulation systems.
• Provide information to operators and support operational teams in managing the production line.

You will work closely with other technical teams (automation engineers, MES and Quality system developers, the process IT standards team, etc.), as well as with the operators and suppliers of the installations you will be working on.

You will join an existing team of around ten people to support the implementation of Phase 2 of the project, particularly the commissioning of the Annealing–Pickling and Rolling installations scheduled for the first half of 2027.

Your mission will begin with the deployment, configuration, and debugging of Backend (.NET) and Frontend (Angular) modules designed during Phase 1 (commissioning of the first production units in 2025), and will evolve towards taking on additional requirements and specific developments.
