We’re seeking a Senior Functional Analyst with strong experience in business and functional analysis, ideally with a background in application or database migrations. You’ll support the Product Owner in defining priorities across various sub-projects within a large-scale public sector environment.


🧩 Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and document business needs; define project scopes.
  • Lead bilingual workshops to gather input from diverse stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into ICT solutions and actionable documentation.
  • Propose improvements in processes and system functionalities.
  • Produce clear documentation: AS-IS/TO-BE flows, business rules, functional specs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on application documentation.
  • Manage and maintain a product backlog and guide implementation roadmaps.
  • Build data models, create mockups, and support with functional testing.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide structured reporting to stakeholders.

  • Business & functional analysis (confirmed to expert level)
  • Agile & SCRUM methodologies
  • BPMN, UML
  • Data modeling, database understanding
  • Workshop facilitation & stakeholder engagement
  • User story creation, mockups, test case execution
  • GitLab, MS Office


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Belgian social dialogue mechanisms, sectoral committees, collective labor agreements, and port labor systems
