Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Claims Handler to manage complex property insurance claims from start to finish. This includes cases across all coverages and involving significant financial stakes. The role demands direct communication with brokers, policyholders, and experts, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and technical insurance documentation efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end handling of complex property claims (retail and/or corporate).
  • Liaise regularly by phone with stakeholders including brokers, policyholders, and appointed experts.
  • Draft a variety of documents and correspondence (e.g. claim denials, expert appointments, requests for additional information).


Required Skills & Experience

  • Claims Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience handling property claims (retail or corporate).
  • Language Proficiency: Native Dutch speaker; good working knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Strong interest and familiarity with technical property insurance topics.
  • Communication: Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Orientation: Ability to quickly understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Analytical Mindset: Capable of assessing complex scenarios and making informed decisions.
  • Organisation: Skilled in planning, prioritisation, and working autonomously.
  • Team Collaboration: A proactive team player who supports collective goals.
  • Decision-Making: Comfortable taking responsibility and making sound judgments under pressure.
