Job Description:


As a Medior Compliance Officer, you have a strong experience ensuring that an organization complies with legal regulations and ethical standards. Your responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring national and international developments that lead to changes in laws and regulations.
  • Translating legal and regulatory requirements into procedures and instructions.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
  • Advising branch networks, central services, and local compliance functions.
  • Raising staff awareness through training and communication.

Qualifications:


  • Language Requirements: Dutch, English, French
  • Certification: FSMA-certified compliance officer (required for 5 days/year for 3 years)


Key Responsibilities:


  • Advising and supporting the organization to promote ethical and controlled business conduct.
  • Contributing to integrity risk management and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Developing and maintaining an annual compliance plan.
  • Identifying and monitoring compliance risks.
  • Updating compliance policies and guidelines as needed.
  • Assisting with the implementation of Fit & Proper requirements.
  • Conducting an annual review of external mandates and the Board of Directors' competency matrix.
  • Acting as the designated contact person for whistleblowing matters.
  • Preparing an annual compliance activity report and formulating recommendations.
  • Following up on actions taken in response to compliance findings.
  • Performing additional ad hoc compliance tasks as necessary.
  • Participating in and reporting to the Board of Directors (twice a year) and the General Meeting.
