Job Title: Senior Technical Designer – Data Integration & Risk Reporting

Location: Brussels (Hybrid or Onsite)

Start Date: First week of April 2025

Language Requirement: English (fluent, written and spoken)


Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join a dynamic Business & IT team within the domain of credit and regulatory risk reporting. The team is responsible for applications supporting processes such as AnaCredit, ESG, CRIMS, and others critical to risk analysis and compliance.

This is a key role in a technically challenging and continuously evolving international environment, working closely with both onshore and offshore teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design, development planning, and implementation phases of complex software systems.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts, application managers, testers, and end-users to ensure alignment and quality delivery.
  • Coordinate programming efforts and monitor code quality and efficiency.
  • Design and maintain frameworks, including integration with external systems and application security.
  • Create and review technical designs and test scenarios, particularly for functional and end-to-end testing.
  • Take ownership of maintaining application stability while implementing new business requirements.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical design and software development.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
  • Informatica PowerCenter
  • Informatica ETL
  • SQL / DQL
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Solid understanding of ICT applications, system architecture, and data flow design.
  • Proven experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Prior experience as a technical developer is essential.


Soft Skills & Methodologies:

  • Demonstrated experience in Agile / SAFe methodologies.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work independently and proactively within a team.
  • Quality-driven mindset with a passion for clean, maintainable design.
  • Capable of handling feedback constructively and adapting to change.
