Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Expert to strengthen its digital communication and engagement with EU citizens, stakeholders, and international partners.

The successful candidate will contribute to our clients communication strategy by managing its social media presence, producing engaging and accessible content, and ensuring that institutional messages are disseminated clearly, accurately, and effectively across digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities

● Develop and implement social media strategies in line with our client’s overall communication objectives.

● Manage our client’s official social media accounts, ensuring consistent and professional representation of the institution.

● Draft, edit, and publish high-quality content (text, images, videos, and infographics) tailored to different platforms and audiences.

● Monitor public debate and media trends relevant to our client’s activities, providing insights and recommendations.

● Engage with online communities in a timely, professional, and transparent manner.

● Coordinate with internal services, EU institutions, and stakeholders to ensure coherence and accuracy of messages.

● Analyse performance data, prepare reports, and adapt strategies to optimise reach, engagement, and impact.

● Ensure compliance with institutional communication guidelines, accessibility standards, and data protection rules.


Qualifications & Experience

● University degree in communications, political science, international relations, journalism, or a related field.

● At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in social media management, digital communications, or public relations (experience within EU institutions, public administration, or international organisations is an asset).


● Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.

● Proven ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, accessible, and engaging content.

● Strong editorial and writing skills, with excellent command of English and good knowledge of at least one other EU official language.

● Experience with social media monitoring and analytics tools.

● Familiarity with visual and multimedia production tools is an advantage.
