Network & IT Infrastructure Coordinator / Technician (M/F/X)
Mission details:
- Full-time assignment, estimated duration: 3 years, ideal start date: 01/01/2026.
- On-site presence required, with regular travel between different operational sites.
- A personal vehicle is necessary to ensure mobility.
- Occasional work outside standard hours may be required; no on-call duties.
Context
The consultant will join the Network, Telephony & IoT team.
This hybrid role combines:

Coordination and supervision of external service providers for network cabling, installation of active equipment (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points), and setup of multimedia and telephony hardware.

On-site technical interventions to install, configure, and maintain network, telephony, multimedia, and printing infrastructures, as well as to perform cabling modifications.

Maintenance and incident handling for telephony, multimedia, printer, and network equipment, including on-site interventions when necessary.
The consultant plays a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, performance, and availability of infrastructure and equipment, while acting as a liaison between vendors, internal teams, and end users.
Main Tasks
Coordination & Supervision
- Plan and coordinate vendor interventions for network cabling, technical cabinets, active equipment, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Supervise the quality of completed work and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Track project progress and prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders.
- Participate in IT and network infrastructure deployment or upgrade projects.
Field Work & Maintenance
- Install and configure switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, IP phones, intercoms, printers, workstation displays, and multimedia equipment in meeting rooms.
- Perform copper and fibre network cabling, patching, and cabinet organisation.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with network, multimedia, and printing equipment.
- Carry out on-site interventions for issues requiring physical presence.
- Test connectivity, validate Wi-Fi coverage, and ensure proper operation of installations.
Documentation & Follow-up
- Keep technical documentation and equipment inventories up to date.
- Track tickets and incidents, ensuring full traceability of interventions.
User Support
- Provide on-site user support for workstations, phones, printers, and multimedia peripherals.
- Escalate complex incidents to internal teams or specialised vendors.
Required Technical Skills
- Copper (Cat5e/6/6a) and fibre network cabling, patching, and cabinet organisation.
- Installation and configuration of switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points (basic setup, VLANs, ports).
- Deployment and maintenance of multimedia, IP telephony, printers, and display equipment.
- Troubleshooting of network, multimedia, and other related hardware issues.
- Ability to read and follow technical plans and infrastructure documentation.
- Use of asset management and incident tracking tools.

Skills & Experience Requirements
Language Requirement:

French – CEFR Level C2 (Must have)
Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in the energy or utilities sector (Must have)

Proven experience implementing changes related to network infrastructures (Must have)

Proven experience in structured cabling (network, telephony, copper, fibre) – minimum 6 years (Must have)

Experience working in a large enterprise environment (>2000 users) (Must have)
Certifications:

CCENT level or equivalent (Must have)
Technical Knowledge:

Installation and support of multimedia equipment, printers, and IoT devices (Should have)
Frameworks / Methodologies:

Good knowledge of ITIL best practices (Nice to have)
