Project Manager – Life Insurance Commercial Projects & Product Management
Mission Goal
As Regulatory Product & Project Manager, you will lead cross‑functional initiatives ensuring Athora Belgium’s life insurance products, systems, and processes comply with evolving regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IDD, ESG, AML). Beyond project delivery, the role emphasizes product adaptation and development—making sure offerings, customer documentation, and journeys remain compliant, efficient, and customer‑centric. You will act as a bridge between business, compliance, and IT, with a strong focus on product oversight and governance (POG).
Expected Deliverables

Updated product specifications and customer documentation aligned with regulatory changes
- Regulatory impact assessments and implementation roadmaps
- Compliant process flows and system configurations supporting product changes
- Project dashboards, risk logs, and stakeholder reports
- Post‑implementation reviews and lessons learned
Role & Responsibilities

Product & Process Adaptation Collaborate with product owners to adapt life insurance offerings and customer documentation in line with new regulations. Ensure POG guidelines are applied consistently.

Project Leadership & Delivery Manage end‑to‑end delivery of regulatory projects, including planning, timelines, budgets, and resources.

Regulatory Translation & Impact Analysis Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product and process changes.

Risk & Compliance Alignment Work closely with compliance and risk teams to validate scope and deliverables, ensuring timely execution.

Reporting & Communication Provide regular updates to senior management and regulatory bodies. Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and governance committees.
Expected Profile
Knowledge:
- At least 10 years of experience in project or product management within life insurance or financial services
- Strong understanding of Belgian/EU regulatory frameworks (FSMA, NBB, Solvency II, IDD)
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile) is a plus
