Data Engineer (Azure / ADF) – Data Migration Program

About the Role

We are supporting a major player in the energy sector on a large-scale transformation program involving the migration of customer data from legacy systems to a new platform.

This is a long-term migration initiative (≈1 year) with a progressive rollout (no big bang), handling continuous batches of thousands of customers on a daily/weekly basis.

You’ll join a team of senior experts and play a key role in building and running data migration pipelines in production.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement data migration pipelines using Azure Data Factory
• Automate and optimize data migration processes
• Work with large datasets using SQL
• Monitor ongoing migrations and track errors / data quality issues
• Ensure performance and reliability of migration flows
• Maintain and support pipelines post-deployment
• Collaborate with senior team members on delivery and improvements

Your Profile

• Medior Data Engineer (≈3–6 years experience)
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Solid SQL skills
• Experience with ETL / data pipelines / data migration
• Comfortable with monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support
• Proactive, reliable, and ownership-driven

Nice to Have

• Databricks
• Dataiku
• Knowledge of SAP data structures
• Experience in large-scale migration projects

Languages

• English (mandatory)
• Dutch and/or French (nice to have
