Career Staffing Talent (CST) has partnered with a local Atlanta-area fire protection company to recruit a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their growing design team.

About the Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a motivated designer with experience in fire sprinkler systems to contribute to a respected, full-service fire protection firm handling design-build and tenant-fit projects across the metro region. You’ll collaborate with project managers, field teams, and local jurisdictions to ensure compliant, high-quality system designs that meet NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA codes, local ordinances, and project specifications
• Prepare detailed layout drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
• Perform hydraulic calculations and material take-offs
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field installers to ensure design accuracy and constructability
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and as-builts for quality and compliance
• Assist with permitting and plan review submissions as required
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and inspectors to resolve design-related issues

Qualifications

• NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred
• 2+ years of fire sprinkler design experience
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and local fire codes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
