We’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP team and oversee the full cycle of vendor payments. This role is ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong grasp of accounting principles—especially within a multi-entity construction setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, performance reviews, and daily oversight
• Coordinate weekly payment runs and collaborate with purchasing to optimize vendor discounts
• Oversee invoice processing systems and external AP software tools
• Monitor team productivity and implement process improvements
• Review expense reports and assign appropriate GL codes
• Manage monthly AP close, reconcile statements, and support annual audits
• Participate in month-end close and ensure accurate period-based reporting
• Reconcile corporate credit cards and issue 1099 forms
• Drive cross-functional process improvements with other departments
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
• Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction or multi-entity environments
• Strong understanding of 3-way match, purchase orders, and AP systems
• Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, charts)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and foster a positive work culture
