Career Staffing Talent (CST) has been engaged by a well-established restaurant and hospitality group in Fort Lauderdale to find their next HR Director. This is not a build-from-scratch role. The business is up and running, the systems are in place, and the team is already operating efficiently. You'd be stepping into a fully functional operation and taking ownership of the people function from day one β€” leading and elevating what's already working, not starting from zero.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the day-to-day HR operation across all locations β€” employee relations, compliance, benefits, and payroll oversight.
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and retention for both hourly and salaried staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Serve as the go-to partner for unit managers on performance, coaching, discipline, and conflict resolution.
  • Keep the group fully compliant with federal, Florida, and local labor law β€” wage and hour, tip credit, I-9, ACA, leave, and workers' comp.
  • Administer benefits, claims, and HRIS data integrity.
  • Partner directly with ownership and leadership on headcount planning, compensation structure, and culture.


What We're Looking For

βœ”οΈ 5+ years of HR leadership experience, ideally in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or another multi-unit, high-volume environment

βœ”οΈ Strong, current working knowledge of Florida and federal employment law

βœ”οΈ Hands-on experience managing HR across multiple locations with a large hourly workforce

βœ”οΈ Equally comfortable operating strategically and tactically β€” this is a roll-up-your-sleeves seat

βœ”οΈ Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

βœ”οΈ HRIS and payroll system proficiency; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR a plus

βœ”οΈ Someone who can step into an established operation and keep it running smoothly while raising the bar
