The role:
Marketing Technology Operations Manager (Digital Platforms)
NOTE: This is not a role for a Marketing leader nor a Content leader, but rather MarTech or Marketing Ops.
This is truly a role for a “builder” who’s highly strategic and visionary - you’d be stepping into a flagship leadership role operating at the intersection of marketing, technology, and innovation.
Its main objective? To fundamentally rewire how a large, complex marketing organization operates — not by running campaigns or creating content, as this is not a role for a Marketer per se, but rather for someone overseeing Marketing Technology and Marketing Ops. You’d be reinventing the platforms, processes, and operating models that make modern digital experiences possible.
Why is this so exciting right now? The company is entering its first true headless, modular experience era, and you’d be an instrumental part of guiding and creating this new reality for them. It’s a rare opportunity to pioneer how content, data, and experiences are structured, governed, and delivered across multiple front-ends in ways that are scalable, accessible, compliant, and AI-ready.
This role offers unusual autonomy and influence. You will lead a small, experienced team of 3-4 people within a 30+ person Marketing Operations org. You’ll incubate new capabilities, and actively explore, test, recommend, and operationalize AI-enabled tools that are redefining content production, experience delivery, and discovery.
The hiring manager you’d be reporting into is a longtime employee of the company, with deep institutional knowledge, internal connections and leverage, and an impressive background of long-tenured roles at other F500s (not to mention an MBA from NYU). She’ll be available to you as you need her, but has made it clear that she wants YOU running this ship, and wants to grant you all the necessary autonomy for you to do your job well.
You will help determine not only which tools are worth bringing in, but how they should be used responsibly, where they should live in the organization, and how they ultimately reshape roles and workflows.
