Their product can create the equivalent of 75% additional profitability for a typical practice, by handling insurance payments, collections and insurance verification. And, they are digitizing outmoded manual processes that leave their offices susceptible to fraud.

Their leaders are experienced and come with successful track records: their CEO has 30 years of experience, including in key leadership roles at a well-known accounting software company with 20M+ users. Everyone has a “no job too small” mentality and values a good work-life balance - not the norm for a startup at this stage!

About the role:

They’re looking for a backend-leaning, full-stack Staff Software Engineer to join as the 6th member of their Engineering team. Strong backend experience is key to build out their database, but you should be comfortable with frontend work as the company matures. You’ll focus on B2B tools for billers and eventually expand to B2C products.

As a Staff-level, you've successfully led big projects with a good amount of ambiguity, know how to figure out what needs to be done and how, and work with the team to successfully deliver on it. You're adept at clarifying requirements, have a successful track record of solving challenging technical and/or product problems, and work with other engineers to deliver it. It's a highly collaborative team, and you thrive on partnering with your fellow engineers to get stuff done (and as Staff-level, you don't need requirements handed to you).

This product is in early stages, so this is your chance to flex those creative muscles and really leave your mark on something that has significant opportunity for impact!

You’ll be responsible for…

• Creating workflow and task management tools for billers, as well as other tools and products for billers and dentist offices
• Working cross functionally and collaborating with stakeholders

You have…

• Ideally 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Early stage startup experience
• Bonus points if you helped build a new startup from the ground up!
• Experience with 0 to 1 builds
• Experience with TypeScript for frontend & backend, or a willingness to learn
• Experience with Node, React, AWS, and PostgreSQL, or equivalents
• A proven ability to write clean and efficient code that adheres to best practices
• A track record of successfully architecting, building, and scaling complex systems
• Experience successfully collaborating with Design & Product
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to haves…

• Some InsureTech or FinTech experience 

Salary: 

Staff: $170-180K + equity (options)
