Remote Flexible Early Morning Teleradiologist – Independent Contractor

A national teleradiology group is seeking board-certified or board-eligible radiologists for fully remote early-morning coverage on a 1099 independent contractor basis. The role focuses on flexible shifts that begin in the early morning hours, with strong operational support and efficient workflows.

Schedule Options

Shifts are highly customizable and adjusted to your local time zone. Core coverage typically starts around 3:00–4:00 AM EST (or the equivalent local time) and runs at least through 7:00 AM EST. You can extend the shift as desired—creating blocks of 3–9 hours that may continue into the morning or early afternoon (up to approximately 2:00 PM EST) if preferred.

Flexible arrangements include:

  • Scheduled early-morning blocks (3–9 hours)
  • Shorter micro-shifts or part-time morning slots
  • More open at-will style reading for candidates who can offer consistent monthly availability
  • Weekend-only coverage

This model supports focused early-morning work without requiring traditional long overnight shifts.

Position Highlights

  • Short to moderate-length shifts (commonly 3–9 hours) available on weekdays, weekends, or a mix
  • Emphasis on urgent/STAT and ED/inpatient studies with rapid turnaround
  • Balanced case mix including general diagnostics, neuro, body, MSK, and pediatrics
  • Primary modalities: CT, MRI, XR, and US
  • Fully remote; suitable for radiologists seeking efficient morning coverage with strong work-life balance

Support Provided

  • Assistance with state licensure and hospital credentialing
  • Malpractice coverage including tail
  • Remote workstation provided (monitors, PACS with voice recognition/dictation, and related equipment)
  • Technical and operational support available as needed
  • Help with CME tracking and maintenance of certification documentation

Qualifications

  • Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Active, unrestricted license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state support available)
  • Comfortable interpreting urgent and STAT cases
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable dedicated remote workspace

This is a good fit for radiologists who prefer efficient, high-acuity early-morning work in flexible blocks. Fully remote with the ability to work from anywhere that has strong internet.

If this flexible early-morning model aligns with your schedule, please reach out for a confidential discussion so we can explore options tailored to your availability.
