Job Posting: Interventional Radiology Practice Manager & Growth Strategist

Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Practice Manager with a strong marketing background to lead the expansion and daily leadership of our growing outpatient Interventional Radiology (IR) centers in Northeast Florida. This key leadership role combines strategic practice growth, targeted medical marketing, operational oversight, financial stewardship, and team management to drive high-quality patient care and sustainable revenue in a thriving procedural-based specialty.
Core Responsibilities
Practice Expansion & Marketing
- Build and execute marketing strategies to attract referring physicians, advanced practice providers, and direct-to-patient referrals
- Identify, develop, and launch new interventional service lines and procedural offerings
- Cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships with existing referral sources
- Recruit additional interventional radiology partners as the practice scales
Operational Leadership
- Direct day-to-day operations across multiple outpatient office-based labs (OBLs), ensuring seamless patient flow, efficient scheduling, and optimal resource use
- Coordinate closely with IR physicians, nurses, technologists, and support staff to maximize procedural throughput and provider productivity
- Oversee supply chain, vendor services, and equipment utilization with a focus on cost efficiency and quality
- Manage after-hours and weekend call service coordination
Financial & Revenue Management
- Oversee budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, financial reporting, and forecasting
- Partner with external billing and accounting teams to optimize charge capture, reimbursement, denial management, and revenue cycle performance
- Analyze key performance metrics and implement initiatives to control costs, improve collections, and support practice profitability
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise clinical and administrative personnel
- Perform regular performance reviews, coaching, and professional development planning
- Maintain appropriate staffing across front office, procedural suites, recovery, and back-office functions
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure full adherence to all regulatory standards (HIPAA, OSHA, AHCA, Florida Department of Health, radiation safety, medical waste, accreditation, etc.)
- Stay current on IR-specific documentation, coding, and accreditation requirements
- Lead quality improvement programs, patient satisfaction tracking, and performance metrics
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
- 3–5+ years of progressive management experience in interventional radiology, vascular access, cardiology, nephrology/dialysis access, or similar outpatient procedural practices
- Proven track record in medical marketing and referral development for procedural specialties
- Working knowledge of IR procedures, workflows, equipment, CPT/ICD coding, and revenue cycle best practices
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems used in outpatient procedural settings and radiology/PACS platforms
- Familiarity with Florida healthcare regulations, payors, and market dynamics is highly advantageous
- Strong leadership presence, excellent communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills
Preferred Attributes
- Certification such as Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA), RHIA, or equivalent
- Prior experience in Northeast Florida healthcare networks or referral patterns
- Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating closely with physician leaders
Work Environment & Logistics
- Primarily based in two modern outpatient IR facilities in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine areas
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours with occasional after-hours oversight for call/service coordination
- Travel: Primarily between the two office locations (roughly 60/40 split)
