Remote General Radiologist – Independent Contractor (Flexible Weekend Coverage)

A national teleradiology group is seeking board-certified or board-eligible radiologists for fully remote weekend coverage on a 1099 independent contractor basis. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, strong operational support, and a balanced case mix suited to high-quality diagnostic work.

Schedule & Flexibility

• Weekend shifts with customizable blocks (typically 4–10 hours) during daytime or evening hours, adjusted to your local time zone
• Options for structured shifts, shorter blocks, or more flexible at-will reading arrangements
• Ideal for radiologists seeking work that fits around other commitments or preferred hours
• Fully remote; laptop-based reading setup available for those who travel

Position Highlights

• Mix of urgent (quick-turnaround) and routine studies
• Coverage across general diagnostics, emergency, neuro, body, MSK, and pediatric cases
• Key modalities include CT, XR, US, and MRI
• Volumes designed for focused, productive remote reading

Support Provided

• Assistance with state licensure and hospital credentialing
• Malpractice coverage (including tail)
• Full remote workstation provided (monitors, PACS with voice recognition, and related equipment)
• Technical and operational support available as needed
• Help with CME tracking and maintenance of certification documentation

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active, unrestricted license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state support available)
• Comfortable with general radiology interpretations across the areas noted above
• Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable dedicated remote workspace
