Diagnostic Radiologist – Breast Imaging Specialist (Academic Faculty)

Position Title: Assistant / Associate / Full Professor – Breast Imaging

Location: Pensacola Metro Area / Gulf Coast Region

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time

Position Overview:

An expanding, flagship regional academic health system is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible Breast Imager to join its Department of Radiology. This faculty role offers an exceptional blend of complex clinical practice, medical education, and administrative responsibilities within a prominent university network. The selected physician will utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic infrastructure, including 3D tomosynthesis and stereotactic capabilities, at a premier outpatient patient care facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive clinical interpretations and interventions for specialized breast imaging and diagnostic services.
  • Participate actively in the academic mission, supporting undergraduate and graduate medical education by mentoring and teaching radiology residents and medical students.
  • Share in the administrative and educational growth initiatives of the Department of Radiology.
  • Utilize advanced, on-site imaging technology (including stereotactic and 3D tomographic systems) to support a high-volume patient network.

Requirements:

  • MD/DO or equivalent with dedicated fellowship training in Breast Imaging / Mammography.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in the regional target state.
  • Understanding of or background in clinical education, academic medicine, or resident training frameworks.
