Our client is a leading national provider of infrastructure-related services. With a workforce between 500-1,000 employees, the company delivers a broad range of construction, maintenance, and engineering services across the United States, primarily supporting public infrastructure and transportation systems.
Privately held and backed by a prominent private equity firm, the company is in an exciting phase of growth and operational transformation. They are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of IT to lead the organization’s technology modernization and integration efforts across its regions and platforms.
Position Overview
The Vice President of IT will lead the company’s technology vision and strategy, supporting business operations by implementing scalable systems and improving enterprise-wide IT effectiveness. This leader will focus on system integration, standardization, and operational excellence to enable further growth, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the rollout, training, and adoption of core platforms including HCSS, Salesforce, Prophix, ADP, and Spectrum.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure optimal system utilization across all operating regions.
- Develop and implement an integration roadmap to unify fragmented systems and align business units.
- Standardize workflows, data structures, and SOPs across the enterprise.
- Onboard new business units into core IT systems during mergers and acquisitions.
- Foster buy-in and understanding across the organization by clearly communicating the purpose and benefits of IT initiatives.
- Introduce structured rollout processes and build trust through effective stakeholder engagement, particularly in field operations.
- Establish reporting and dashboards to provide clear, real-time visibility into KPIs for both leadership and operations teams.
- Assist in implementing a regular performance management cadence across departments.
- Serve as a connector between IT, finance, operations, and business development functions.
- Support strategic initiatives around pricing, forecasting, project tracking, and customer engagement through systems optimization.
- Lead IT initiatives around cloud strategy, cybersecurity, backup systems, and data quality.
- Develop and manage a lean, high-performing IT team, including internal and outsourced resources.
- Deliver strong execution with clear accountability, while delegating appropriately to team members and partners.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally within construction, industrial services, or other project-based industries.
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment is strongly preferred.
- Track record of overseeing enterprise-wide IT systems, integrations, and platform adoptions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels, including field teams and executive leadership.

Compensation: $175,000 – $195,000 base salary, plus 20% bonus
