A well-established fire protection and suppression organization is immediately seeking a CFAA Certified Lead Hand Fire Alarm Technician to cover the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and along the Southern Horseshoe region.

Working out of a well-equipped vehicle you take home, the Lead Hand Fire & Suppression Service Technician will primarily install, program, troubleshoot, service, repair a variety of systems: fire alarm, light, security, and integrated systems; as well train and mentor Fire Alarm Techs, complete site visits to oversee quality of Techs work, etc.
LEAD FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- CFAA Certification mandatory
- 7+ years’ experience servicing and installing fire and life safety systems with some lead hand experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Programming experience (i.e. Mircom FX2000, Mircom FX 4000, FlexNet, etc.)
- Kitchen suppression and/or panel installation experience considered a strong asset
- Read and understand blueprints, diagrams, submittals, schematics, and operational manuals
- Able to lift up to 40lbs and comfortable working in sometimes difficult positions or heights such as climbing ladders, scaffolds, crawl spaces, ducts etc.
- Valid “G” driver’s license and clean driving record
Successfully hired Fire Service Technicians must pass a pre-employment background check (Criminal and Driving).
SHIFTS: Flexible Days, Monday – Friday. OT after 44 hours. On Call 1 week every 7-8 weeks.
COMPENSATION:
- $45.00 - $55.00/hour
