Shop Foreman

$32 - $38 per hour plus benefits

Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

We are a reputable Heavy Duty Diesel Truck dealership in Batavia, NY. We are searching for a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team to manage and oversee the technicians in our repair shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities

·      Supervise and lead a team of mechanics in the repair and maintenance of commercial trucks.

·      Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of jobs.

·      Provide technical guidance and assistance to team members as needed.

·      Conduct inspections and diagnose mechanical issues on vehicles.

·      Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

·      Communicate with customers regarding service updates and recommendations.

·      Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement.

·      Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, timekeeping, and record-keeping.

Requirements

·      Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, preferably in a dealership environment.

·      Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

·      Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·      Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·      Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and software.

·      Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
