We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a valued member, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing over-the-road tractors, as well as occasional trailer maintenance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using both visual inspections and computer diagnostic tools.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, and yard trucks, including oil changes, tune-ups, belts, hose repairs, tire and brake services, and more.
  • Expertly repair and maintain components such as tires, suspensions, frames, differentials, drivetrains, transmissions, clutches, engines, electrical and pneumatic systems, HVAC systems, hydraulic and pneumatic brakes, and lighting systems.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively, adhering to company and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.


Requirements:

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Clean driving record (MVR).
  • At least 6 years of relevant and verifiable diesel mechanic experience.
  • Must have a valid Class-B (or A) CDL.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or at least 3 years of hands-on experience working on Class 8 tractors/trailers.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of hydraulics.
  • Certification in brakes is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Annual PPE Allowance.
  • Quarterly Safety Bonus.
  • $3,000 Sign-On Bonus, paid in increments over 6 months.
  • Full-time, hourly position with rotating on-call shifts (every other week at night for a few hours and every 4th weekend).
  • Health Insurance with up to 70% coverage after 30 days, depending on plan level.
  • Dental & Vision Insurance available (employee-paid).
  • Life Insurance – $10,000 company-paid life insurance with options for additional coverage at employee's expense.
  • Sick Pay – 48 hours accrued per year.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 5 years.
  • Supplemental Health Insurance options are available for full-time employees.


Schedule:

  • 11 AM to 8 PM, with rotating on-call shifts.
  • 8-hour shifts, on-call availability (every other week for a few hours and every 4th weekend).
