We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team.

Responsibilities:


  • Warmly greet customers and attend to their needs
  • Actively listen to customer descriptions of problems or service needs, determining the required service type
  • Provide detailed cost estimates for services
  • Offer advice on necessary routine maintenance services
  • Identify mechanical problems through effective questioning, visual inspections, or road tests
  • Consult with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work orders for necessary repairs
  • Prepare comprehensive repair orders, detailing time, costs, and labor estimates
  • Write concise descriptions of customer concerns on the repair order to assist technicians in locating and resolving issues
  • Explain completed work and associated charges to customers
  • Handle customer complaints with professionalism and resolution
  • Schedule service appointments efficiently
  • Obtain customer and vehicle data before arrival whenever possible
  • Conduct test drives with customers to confirm reported problems
  • Provide accurate and complete cost estimates for labor and parts
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding service timelines
  • Open and close repair orders as needed
  • Monitor the progress of repairs throughout the day


Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Knowledge of ADP is a plus
  • Minimum of one year of automotive service experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
