Mobile Diesel Mechanic – Melrose Park, IL

If you’re tired of flat rate games, dealership politics, or being stuck inside the same shop every day, this could be a good fit.

We’re looking for a solid Mobile Diesel Mechanic who knows their way around trucks and fleet equipment and can work without someone holding their hand all day. Most of the work is within about 45 minutes of Melrose Park, so you’re not driving all over the state.

This is a hands-on fleet/mobile role. You’ll be working on diesel trucks, handling diagnostics, repairs, PMs, electrical, brakes, suspension, and general fleet work. Some engine experience is definitely a plus since the shop is a Cummins authorized facility, but this is not an overhaul/rebuild shop.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Steady hours. Home every day.

Pay

• $35-$40/hr for a good tech

What We Are Looking For

• Around 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Someone who can diagnose and repair without guessing
• Fleet or independent shop background fits well
• CDL is a plus, not a deal breaker
• Somebody dependable who shows up and gets the job done
