Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Clarksville, Tennessee
Compensation: $29.15–$33.15/hr starting (based on experience) + benefits & 401K with match.
Includes $2.00/hr night shift premium
Shift: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM | 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule (after training period)
About the Role
A leading manufacturing facility in Clarksville, Tennessee is seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians with strong troubleshooting ability. This role supports preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance across a high-volume production environment with advanced automation, Siemens PLCs, AGVs, and VFD-driven equipment.
We are looking for technicians who excel at diagnosing issues, solving complex mechanical/electrical problems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial production equipment.
- Use OEM manuals, schematics, blueprints, and computer-based systems for diagnostics and repair planning.
- Work with automation systems, including Siemens PLCs, AGVs, VFDs, sensors, motors, and control systems.
- Complete preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Diagnose root causes of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required.
- Update and maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations, quality, and EHS teams to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Follow all plant safety and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience
- Multi-craft skillset strongly preferred (mechanical + electrical).
Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting ability — not just preventive maintenance.
- Solid understanding of industrial mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.
- Experience with automation, PLCs (Siemens strongly preferred), VFDs, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Welding and fabrication experience an asset.
