Mobile Trailer Mechanic – Ghent, KY

$30-$38/hr + Paid Drive Time + OT + Home Every Night

Looking for a mobile trailer gig where you're not stuck in the shop all day? We're looking for a Mobile Trailer Mechanic based around Ghent, KY to handle on-site repairs for customers throughout the area.

This is 90% trailer work — mainly dry vans, flatbeds, and step decks — with some Class 8 truck work mixed in. You'll have a take-home service truck and work independently in the field, keeping customer equipment rolling.

What You'll Be Doing

• On-site repairs on trailers
• PMs, inspections, and general trailer maintenance
• Brakes, suspension, air systems, lighting, electrical, tires and wheel ends
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing trailer issues
• Welding and light fabrication
• Occasional Class 8 truck repairs and bolt-on work
• Working directly with customers and handling repairs in the field

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of trailer or heavy truck mechanic experience
• Strong trailer repair background preferred
• Able to troubleshoot and work independently
• Valid driver's license
• CDL is a plus, not required
• Able to pass a drug screen and DOT physical

Pay & Perks

• $30-$38/hr+ to start, depending on experience — flexibility for higher starting pay for the right tech
• All drive time is paid
• Average of 10 hours OT per week
• Time-and-a-half for overtime

• Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-3:30 PM
