Journeyman Millwright (433A) – Chatham-Kent, ON

$44.48/hr + premiums, pension from day one

If you’re the kind of millwright who doesn’t wait to be told something’s wrong—you hear it, feel it, and fix it before it shuts the line down—this is worth a look.

We’re hiring a licensed 433A Millwright to keep a busy, modern manufacturing plant running. It’s steady work, solid equipment, and a team that actually pulls their weight.

What you’ll be doing

You won’t be stuck doing the same thing every day. This is real maintenance work:

  • Install, tear down, and repair plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues before they become downtime
  • Handle a mix of work: mechanical, basic electrical, welding, fab, general maintenance
  • Read prints, layouts, wiring diagrams—figure it out and get it done
  • Do inspections and preventative maintenance to keep things running smooth
  • Work with outside contractors when needed and keep jobs on track
  • Use your tools properly (and yeah, you’ll actually use them here)

What you need

  • 433A Industrial Millwright license (non-negotiable)
  • 2–5 years in an industrial setting
  • Comfortable around production equipment and fast-paced environments
  • Automotive/manufacturing experience is a bonus
  • Able to work a continental shift (2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights, 6:30–6:30)

What’s in it for you

This is where it stands out:

  • $44.48/hour base rate
  • + $0.75/hr cost-of-living premium on every hour worked
  • + $0.85/hr days / + $1.20/hr nights
  • Double time on Sundays (8 of 12 hours paid at 2x)
  • Full benefits + company-paid pension from DAY ONE

After ~3 months (480 hours):

  • $800/year tool allowance
  • $440 safety boot allowance
  • Life, AD&D, disability coverage

The shop

Clean, organized, and busy. Equipment that’s actually maintained. Management that understands downtime costs money—and backs the maintenance team properly.

If you’re tired of shops that cut corners, run you into the ground, or cheap out on pay—this is the opposite of that.

Apply or reach out directly to have a quick, straight-up conversation. No fluff.
