Service Manager - Automotive Shop

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager for immediate hire in Brampton, Ontario. Oversell all aspects of the Service Department for a go-to destination in automotive solutions. Lead a team of Technicians, Apprentices, Installers, and Service Advisors in a large shop. Ensure the smooth & efficient operation of the service center while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.


Compensation:

  • $80,000 - $125,000/year to start. Flexibility for higher starting rate based on experience.
  • Bonus in addition to salary.
  • Benefit package: health insurance, vision, dental, disability and life insurance.
  • Profit-sharing of up to 10% of earnings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of automotive service technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service by ensuring that all customer inquiries, concerns, and issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling appointments, allocating resources, and managing workflow to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that all automotive services and repairs meet or exceed industry standards for quality and safety. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to uphold the integrity of our work.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service department performance, such as service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Take proactive measures to address any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices in automotive service operations.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for service department staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive service management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in team management and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Solid understanding of automotive systems, parts, and repair procedures.
  • Proficiency in automotive service software and systems.
