We are recruiting for a Shop Technician to join a growing, safety-focused equipment rental and material handling operation in Hamilton, ON. This role is ideal for a mechanically strong technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working through complex repairs, and being part of a collaborative team environment. This is not a parts-changer role. The right technician is confident, detail-oriented, and patient when diagnosing issues — someone who takes pride in fixing things properly and safely, even when repairs don’t go perfectly the first time.

Location: Hamilton, Ontario

Pay: $35–$45/hour (flexible based on experience, with review after 90 days) + benefits

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm

Hours: ~47.5 hours/week, OT paid after 44 hours

What You’ll Be Working On

• Aerial lift equipment (JLG, Genie, Skyjack)
• Forklifts
• Modern, well-maintained commercial rental equipment (no old residential units)

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues in shop-based equipment
• Perform complex troubleshooting and major repairs (“hard down” equipment)
• Read and interpret schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and service manuals
• Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Work closely with other technicians and leadership to prioritize repairs
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Follow safe work practices in a fast-paced rental environment
