Full-Time Journeyman Plumber Needed
A family-owned property management company with multiple large apartment communities in the greater San Jose area is seeking a skilled, full-time Journeyman Plumber to become a part of our maintenance team. We’re seeking a plumber who is capable of working both independently and collaboratively with project managers, designers, architects, carpenters, and other subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing issues reported by tenants or property managers.
- Maintain plumbing systems across multiple residential apartment complexes.
- Conduct routine plumbing inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and repair work.
- Record time spent, work performed, and materials used.
- Install and repair plumbing systems in apartments and common areas.
- Operate and maintain various power equipment, such as forklifts, man-lifts, drills, saws, and hydraulic tools.
- Ensure all required plumbing tools are available for maintenance and installation tasks.
- Perform site clean-up after work is completed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on plumbing experience, specifically in apartment unit remodels and repairs (kitchens, bathrooms, and whole apartments).
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing installation techniques, systems, and standards.
- Familiarity with basic carpentry, hardware, and fixture installations.
- Organized, proactive, professional, and punctual.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (must be proficient in English).
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with subcontractors on assigned projects.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, contracts, and specifications (a plus).
- Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, OSHA regulations, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Must have plumbing tools and equipment appropriate for multifamily and commercial facilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
- Adhere to safety rules, regulations, and company policies, ensuring a safe and clean job site.
- Ability to foster good working relationships with coworkers.
- Must possess a valid and current California Driver’s License.

Hourly Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Location & Commute Requirements:
- Must be able to commute to San Jose, CA 95122 (required)
- Must be willing to relocate to San Jose, CA 95122 before starting work (required)
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (preferred)
