We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to represent a full line of municipal and specialty work trucks, equipment, and vehicles throughout Western Pennsylvania. This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role focused on municipalities, public works departments, utilities, and select contractors supporting government infrastructure.
The role is home-based, with most customer activity occurring within one hour of Pittsburgh, and requires frequent local travel with occasional overnight stays.
Territory: Western Pennsylvania (State College to Ohio Border)

Compensation

Entry-level / developing territory: ~$70,000 OTE

Experienced reps with industry background or existing book: $150,000–$200,000+ OTE

Key Responsibilities

Sell and represent a portfolio of municipal and vocational equipment, including:
- Sewer inspection, jetting, and vacuum trucks
- Refuse and garbage trucks
- Street sweepers and leaf vacuum units
- Aerial lift trucks and service crane trucks
- Safety and specialty municipal equipment
- Build and manage long-term relationships with municipalities, utilities, and contractors
- Conduct on-site equipment demonstrations and customer training upon delivery
- Identify and pursue bid opportunities and cooperative purchasing contracts
- Perform on-site cold calling and proactive new business development
- Prepare detailed equipment quotes using manufacturer-specific formats
- Collaborate internally on quoting, delivery coordination, and customer support
- Attend and coordinate trade shows, demos, and industry events within the territory
- Maintain CRM records and sales activity documentation
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience (municipal, heavy equipment, industrial, or vocational trucks preferred)
- Strong relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Comfortable conducting equipment demos and technical discussions
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physicals
- Willingness to travel throughout Western PA (occasional overnight travel)
- High school diploma or GED required (college or technical education preferred)
- CRM experience (Salesforce or similar) and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Highly Valued (Not Required, Strong Plus)
- Mechanical or technical background (former technician, mechanic, or hands-on experience)
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, CAN bus systems, or vocational equipment
- Experience selling or servicing:
- Sewer jetting / vacuum trucks
- Refuse trucks or sweepers
- Heavy equipment or “yellow iron”
- Willingness to obtain a CDL (training and licensing supported by employer)
