Parts Manager – Marine & Diesel Division

Lead the Parts Operation at a Top-Tier Marine Repair Facility


Rockstar Recruiting is now hiring an experienced Parts Manager for a well-established and highly respected marine repair facility based in Fairhaven, MA. This facility specializes in diesel engine repair and service, supporting both commercial and private vessels throughout New England.

This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in diesel engine parts—especially Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel/MTU, or Northern Lights. While prior marine industry experience is a major asset, we also welcome candidates with parts management experience from adjacent industries such as heavy equipment, diesel trucking, or construction equipment.


What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Parts Department, including inventory control, procurement, order fulfillment, and billing.
  • Source and manage parts inventory for major diesel engine brands including CAT, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, MTU, and others.
  • Collaborate with technicians and customers to identify and fulfill parts needs efficiently and accurately.
  • Track job-specific parts usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Utilize point-of-sale systems and job management software to manage transactions and work orders.
  • Ensure secure payment processing and maintain accurate invoicing and documentation.
  • Support a high-performing service team with timely parts availability and excellent communication.


What You Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Parts Manager or Parts Specialist in a diesel engine repair, heavy equipment, or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and familiarity with brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit/MTU, or Northern Lights.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A professional and customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, invoicing software, and digital inventory tools.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle parts and perform the duties required in a shop environment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a pre-employment physical.


Preferred Experience:

  • Background working in a marine repair yard or with commercial marine vessels.
  • Also open to candidates with parts experience in other industries i.e. Heavy Equipment Dealers, Truck Dealerships etc. or Marine experience in related roles i.e. Service Manager
  • Familiarity with marine hydraulic systems, gensets, or marine electrical systems.


Compensation & Benefits:
