Truck Build Technician – Exeter, NH

If you know your way around a diesel truck and you’re the kind of person who’d rather be turning wrenches, welding steel, and building something real instead of sitting behind a desk—this is your kind of shop.

We’re looking for a Truck Build Technician in Exeter, NH who can take a truck from parts and plans all the way to a finished, work-ready build. You’ll be fabricating, welding, wiring, assembling, and dialing in heavy-duty trucks and custom builds that actually hit the road and go to work.

This isn’t just bolt-on work. It’s hands-on builds, repairs, diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical, and custom fabrication. If you’ve got diesel experience and you like solving problems with your hands, you’ll fit right in.

Pay: $25–$40/hr depending on experience

Location: Exeter, NH

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be involved in full truck builds and heavy-duty repair work, including:

  • Fabricating and welding parts based on build layouts and custom designs
  • Cutting, bending, and assembling steel components for truck builds
  • Reading blueprints, schematics, and build drawings (and actually using them in the real world)
  • Installing full truck systems: chassis components, lighting, bumpers, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Diagnosing diesel truck issues and replacing major components (engine, transmission, steering, braking systems, etc.)
  • Performing routine maintenance like oil changes, brake work, alignment checks, and wheel service
  • Working with 12V electrical systems, lighting, and accessories
  • Keeping accurate build notes, parts usage, and repair records
  • Working side-by-side with the team to get builds done right and on time

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to check every box, but the stronger your background in these areas, the better:

  • Diesel truck or heavy equipment experience
  • Welding and fabrication skills (this one matters a lot)
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Comfort working with hydraulics and air brake systems
  • Basic electrical/12V systems knowledge (lighting, accessories, etc.)
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics
  • CDL-A or CDL-B is a plus (no automatic restrictions preferred)
  • Solid work ethic and attention to detail—you take pride in the final product

What you get

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Life and Disability insurance
  • AFLAC options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • A shop where your work actually gets built, tested, and used—not forgotten

If you like building real trucks, solving real mechanical problems, and working in a shop where skill actually matters, this is worth a look.
