Tax Manager – CPA Certification Required

Full-Time | Hybrid Role | Local to Dallas, TX Area


Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 w/potential of 10% annual bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on complex Federal and State tax issues, manage tax projects, and collaborate with specialized team members.
  • Provide tax planning, consulting, compliance, and research services to clients across industries, including real estate, oil & gas, and other for-profit sectors.
  • Manage the technical aspects of tax planning and compliance for corporations, pass-through entities (S Corps, Partnerships, LLCs, and Trusts), and their owners.
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their growth through structured development programs.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and best practices by participating in internal continuing education programs.
  • Research technical tax issues, prepare analyses and technical memos, and assist with IRS audits.
  • Handle client management tasks such as proposals, engagement planning, resource allocation, and billing.


Qualifications:

  • Certification: Active CPA license.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent, progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Preferred Knowledge: Expertise in real estate, oil & gas, or professional services is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance for corporate consolidated returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns.
  • Strong financial accounting background, including debits and credits.
  • Demonstrated project management, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Advanced tax research and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional demeanor.
