Our client operates a state-of-the-art bulk handling facility in Prince Rupert. The terminal receives product by rail and processes, sorts and stores for loading onto ships bound for international markets.

We are looking for a red seal electrician with related industrial experience to join their team. This is a unionized role, and the pay rate is $61.17/hour. The hired individual will follow the facility’s schedule, working both day and afternoons. Our client will assist with some relocation expenses.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, and switchboards.
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Qualifications:

• Electrical red seal certification.
• Strong knowledge of work safe practices.
• Experience working in an industrial environment.
• Good trouble shooting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s and VFD’s.
• Thorough knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Willing to relocate to Prince Rupert and work shift work.
