Position Overview:

This position is suitable for a technologist , Architect or an Intern Architect interested in working as part of a team on medium to large public projects. Ideally they are looking for people who are specifically suited to immediate needs, we support and encourage each individual’s professional development goals and long-term growth at the firm. For the right candidate there are no limits to what this opportunity could develop into.


Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Design Manager, assist in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications, details from sketches, development permit drawings, and building permit applications
  • Assist the Design Manager in all project phases
  • Preparation of presentation materials using 3D software
  • Research materials, technical details through library and manufacturers
  • Conduct research on sustainable products
  • May assist in review of shop drawings, contract administration


Requirements:

  • A combination of talent and technical skills in design projects combined with the drive to excel
  • At least 3 to 6 years of experience within an architectural firm
  • Building Science/Architectural Technology diploma (min. 2-year program) or a Masters degree in Architecture working towards AIBC registration.
  • A high level of proficiency with REVIT
  • The ability to coordinate documents with consultants
  • The ability to work with ease in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • The ability to work well as a team member and independently
  • Knowledgeable of the BC Building Code
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • Experience in education or other institutional projects is an asset
  • LEED, passive house, Net zero or accessibility accreditation or experience


Base salary - $75K - $90K based on experience
