Our client is a property renewal services company based in the lower mainland. They are growing the organization to offer fully integrated building solutions.
We are looking for a Field Operations Manager to join their team. This person will lead and support the field crews across a range of commercial, industrial and residential construction projects. This role reports directly to the Director of Project Delivery Group. This role oversees day-to-day field operations with a focus on quality, performance, and accountability.
The Field Operations Manager is responsible for supervising foreman and leads, managing quality assurance, supporting safety, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-standard proven processes across all active sites. Projects include interior and exterior painting, tenant improvements (TI), abatement and full building envelope repairs.
Salary will commensurate based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all field personnel, including foreman and crew leads.
- Conduct performance evaluations, VTO’s and provide mentorships.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety procedures and documentation.
- Oversee field resources, including labour (onboarding, labour sharing), equipment, and materials, across multiple job sites.
- Troubleshoot field issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain workflow and schedule and ensure consistent workmanship across sites.
- Use field management systems such as SiteDocs to track and enforce standardized field-proven process practices and QC checks.
- Identify gaps in field operations and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Safety, Estimating, and the Quality Assurance team.
- Represent the field team in operations meetings and help translate project goals into on-site action.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience managing field operations in construction. We will consider operational managers in construction or superintendents with related experience.
- Red Seal certification in a relevant trade (e.g., Painting, Carpentry) is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SiteDocs or similar field safety/documentation systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction best practices, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and hold field teams accountable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple crews and projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
