About Our Client:

Our client is an engineering consulting firm with a focus on public sector clients.

We are looking for an Electrical Transportation Engineer to join their team. This person will work on a team of 5 engineers, designing Electrical Traffic Signals and Roadway Lighting projects. We are looking for candidates who come from engineering consulting, who have specific experience with MTO projects.

Our client offers a collaborative culture and opportunities for growth. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus, on top of salary and benefits. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and review of electrical traffic signals and roadway lighting projects for MTO projects
• Design of electrical systems, including power distribution, traffic signals, and lighting for roads, intersections, and public transit systems
• Utilize AutoCAD & related software, creating detailed drawings
• Ensure technical accuracy in drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work adheres to relevant codes and standards

Qualifications:

• P.Eng. designation
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical traffic signals and roadway lighting projects for MTO projects
• Engineering consulting experience
• Knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution and lighting
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Able to travel to various sites, using your own vehicle (reimbursement of mileage will be provided)
• Excellent communication skills
• A strong understanding of MTO standards and expectations
• Team oriented individual
• Able to work out of our client’s office in Oakville, Ontario
