Our client is a rapidly expanding manufacturer in the label and packaging industry, with operations across North America and a diverse international customer base. Utilizing advanced equipment and modern technology, they provide innovative solutions for a wide range of applications. Their offerings include flexible packaging, films, tags, bags, and various types of labels.
Responsibilities

Oversee the full employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance management, and offboarding — for both Canadian and U.S. operations.

Partner with department leaders to identify hiring needs, craft job descriptions, resolve employee relations issues, and conduct workplace investigations.

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, programs, and procedures aligned with employment legislation and company objectives.

Ensure compliance with all relevant employment standards, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices in both jurisdictions.

Manage HR metrics and reporting, including turnover, recruitment, and other key performance indicators.

Support workplace safety programs by managing injury claims, coordinating return-to-work programs, and completing safety-related documentation.

Foster employee engagement through communication, recognition, and cultural initiatives that reflect company’s core values.

Assist with special HR projects and provide strategic input to the Director, Finance & Administration and senior leadership.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; CPHR designation (or candidacy) is an asset.

Minimum 3 years of recent, hands-on HR experience including full-cycle recruitment — preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance practices in both Canada and the U.S.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and capable of creating HR presentations and reports.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, navigate sensitive issues, and work effectively across all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated problem-solving, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.
