Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment including coffee roasters, grinders, conveyors, packaging lines, and material handling systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure reliable plant operations.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and plant optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and food manufacturing practices (GMP, HACCP).
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain efficient and uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications
- Industrial Electrician Certification required; Red Seal Millwright certification considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical components including pumps, bearings, gearboxes, belts, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and food manufacturing standards.
