A well-established North American importer specializing in wood panel and building materials, known for its strong global supplier network, quality assurance standards, and customer-focused supply chain solutions.



Responsibilities

  • Find and develop new business opportunities across Canada and the USA.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
  • Visit customers regularly to understand their needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
  • Grow existing accounts while actively bringing in new clients.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and customer demands.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Operations, and Procurement to ensure smooth customer support and order fulfillment.
  • Track sales performance, customer activity, and business opportunities using reports and CRM tools.
  • Prepare sales presentations, quotations, and proposals for customers.
  • Represent the company professionally at meetings, trade shows, and customer visits.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory to support business growth.



Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Experience in B2B sales, distribution, building materials, manufacturing, or industrial products is preferred.
  • Strong ability to generate leads, close deals, and grow customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing customer needs.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 50% for client meetings and business development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM system experience is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience.

Location: Remote (Preferably Ontario or the Midwest/Northeast USA)
