They are looking for a Extrusion Operator to join their team.


Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating extrusion equipment in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and production requirements. This role involves interpreting technical documents, ensuring product quality, maintaining equipment, and documenting completed work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate one or more extrusion machines to process materials through dies or nozzles
  • Change dies and adjust machine settings based on production requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to ensure accurate production
  • Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials and supplies
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are kept clean and organized
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Accurately track and record production activities in internal systems
  • Follow emergency and safety protocols at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Previous experience operating extrusion machinery or working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Willingness to learn and participate in on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work with precision and maintain consistent quality standards
  • Must meet applicable security and safety requirements, including background checks and medical clearance (if required)
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
