About the client:
Our client is a well-established Canadian distributor offering a wide range of building isolation products and solutions to Architects, Engineers, Designers, OEMs, Contractors, and Property/Factory Managers. Due to company’s growth and expansion, they are adding a Technical Sales Representative for their Noise & Vibration Isolation Division in Eastern Canada. This client-facing role is ideal for a proactive, relationship-focused professional who excels at identifying new opportunities, re-engaging past clients, and building meaningful connections within the architectural, engineering, and construction communities.
Our client has exclusive partnerships with the top manufacturers in the industry and offers proven expertise in noise and vibration control. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting our client’s capabilities and contributing to continued growth across the region.
This is a fully remote position and the ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Toronto or surrounding areas. No daily office presence is required.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers by phone, email, and in-person/virtual meetings with the intention of cultivating strong customer relationships.
- Develop new customer potential by examining market opportunities and contacting potential customers.
- Offer professional, prompt, effective and efficient solutions to customer inquiries.
- Provide quotations, technical support, literature, and other support/materials for customers, including submittals and coordination for projects.
- Responsible for completing the order process which includes offering pricing terms according to established margins and generating sales orders.
- Enter quotations and orders into the system with accuracy in a timely manner.
- Provide customers with accurate pricing, inventory, and specific delivery information.
- Respond to customers’ requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Participate in trade shows, networking events, training and associated product meetings where appropriate.
- Deliver presentations to architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Conduct site reviews and attend project meetings, when needed.
Qualifications:
- A solid background in acoustics and vibration isolation. An engineering degree or training in acoustics (sound, noise and vibration) is a strong asset.
- Previous technical sales experience is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). CAD experience would be an asset.
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong time management and follow-up skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate with team members.
- Highly reliable with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within the region and to company training locations as required.
Compensation:
- $110,000-130,000 base salary
- Uncapped quarterly commission
